DIY Napkin Holder

A week from tomorrow I will be hosting my first ever crafting party in my home for some of my friends. I’m so excited! For the last couple weeks I’ve been slowly prepping for it. I’ve already shared some of my prepping in previous posts. From what I have shared with you, those of you that have been paying close attention may have guessed the theme of the party. If not, I’ll just keep you guessing..hehe!

One of the things this party has got me into is stamping. I just want to stamp everything! I stamped the forks. I stamped the serving utensils. I’ve stamped the take home bags. And more! I’m telling you, I can’t stop stamping!! I’m going to be having my guests stamping too! Don’t worry, I will share everything with you all:)

Two days ago, as I was shopping at Target, I came across a cute and simple napkin holder. Nothing fancy and fairly inexpensive. I thought it may be a cute addition to hold my doily napkins that I made. I did place it in my shopping cart, but as I strolled through Target (and as I was checking out their shoes…btw Target has some cute flats right now..go check them out!) an idea struck. I can just make my own napkin holder and STAMP IT! Like I told you, I just can’t stop stamping! My brain is just going stamp, stamp, stamp!

So, yesterday I made my napkin holder. Check it out!

That’s one side…now check out the other side!

More stamping! Best part is I already had everything I needed on hand. Woohoo! A few months back, I found a set of assorted wood cut outs at Hobby Lobby in the clearance section for $3.59! There were about 40 wood cut outs that came in the set. That’s a score, wouldn’t you say! The three I used for the napkin holder were from the set. I first stamped the two sides and then glued the two sides to the base with Gorilla glue. Within a half hour the glue dried up and my napkin holder was ready to go! And I’m so in love with it! :D

What do you all think of my napkin holder that practically cost me about $.30? Target can’t beat that! (But I still love my Target:P)

Thanks for joining me today. Be sure to stop by these awesome linky parties where you will find my new napkin holder!
