Piecrust Cutters Giveaway

I love pie. Especially homemade pie. Pumpkin pie being my fave. As a matter of fact, I only like pumpkin pie when it’s homemade. I don’t mind pumpkin pie from the can at all, but nothing comes close to a pumpkin pie that is made from a fresh pumpkin!

Other than sharing this pie and my love for pumpkin pie, I also shared with you a recipe that I love to use right HERE in last year’s post. If you have not made (or even tried) pumpkin pie from a fresh pumpkin yet, you better get a move on! You will never look back once you do. :)

Along with a yummy recipe, I also love making my piecrust look pretty. To make a pretty pie, other than my Emile Henry pie plate, I love using piecrust cutters. I had purchased the cutters (along with the plate) pictured above from Williams-Sonoma a few years ago. I use them anytime I make pies (but they can also come in handy to make little cookie cut outs as well as fondant cut outs).

This year Williams-Sonoma’s new set includes a turkey, a pumpkin, and an acorn. Once I saw that acorn… and then the turkey and pumpkin, I was sold. I tried to talk myself out of buying a second set, but I just couldn’t resist so off to Williams-Sonoma I went and treated myself to a new set of piecrust cutters.

Of course I couldn’t wait to use the cutters, so I made a pumpkin pie as soon as I got home. Look how cute are the cut outs! The cutters are very easy to use, but the box does include instructions if needed.

Mmm… I can’t wait to dig into that! Oh wait.. by the time you read this I would have already dug into it. Haha! ;) Aren’t the cut outs a perfect finishing touch? I sure do love the new shapes!

Are you wondering why there’s two sets of cutters in the picture above? That’s because I got one for you too! Well, for one lucky OTI reader that is! This is just my way of saying thanks to you guys for being so awesome. I am honestly grateful for all my followers! I wish I can give one to each and every one of you… but I guess you have to be Oprah to be able to do that. Ha! ;) Let’s get on with the giveaway, shall we…

To win, you can complete any one of the three ways to enter through the Rafflecopter below. Of course, you are welcome to do all three if you want for more chances to win. The winner of the giveaway will be announced on Monday, November 12, 2012. This is open to U.S. residents only. Good luck!

Pumpkin is hubby's favorite as well but must admit, I have never made a fresh pumpkin pie from a pumpkin.
Oh, I love using cookie cutters. They always bring that little extra something 'special' to pies or whatever.
I even use them for cutting out my fudge and give as gifts or lay sheet of saran wrap on counter, lay your cookie cutter down on top of sarn wrap, fill with your favorite fudge recipe, let set and then gather up the saran wrap and tie with ribbon. Not only do they have a nice piece of fudge but also a cookie cutter for them to use as well.
Sorry, kinda got off subject here.
Back to the pie crust. If any crust left, I cut out with cutters; sprinkle with cinnamon - sugar mixture and bake, then eat or lay each cut-out decoration right on top of a slice of pumpkin pie.
Thank you for this opportunity on your wonderful giveaway.

I love pumpkin with real whipped cream, however, I think my favorite would have to be the awesome cherry pie my mother used to make.

Our family is gluten free and vegan but my apple pie still disappears whenever we bring it anywhere. The crust is a recipe I developed and it could rival any wheat/ butter crust. These pie cutters would be a great added detail!

Your pie is so beautiful! I would have to hesitate before cutting into it... But it's pumpkin pie all the same so I wouldn't hesitate long!

I actually made a homemade pumpkin pie last weekend using real pumpkin that I picked, carved and boiled myself. It was the freshest pumpkin I've ever made. I must say though, yours is so much more beautiful!! Anyways, my favorite pie is anything with a chocolate mousse like the French silk from bakers square.
