I have more fall decorating ideas for you today! In the previous post I shared my fall vignette where I used natural and rustic elements. I do tend to use those two elements often in my decor, so it won’t come to a surprise that I carried out with those two elements with my other fall decor.
As with my vignette, the rest of my fall decor consists of pieces I’ve already had on hand with a few new bargain pieces that I’m excited to share with you all. It’s always a thrill to find awesome bargains… makes the piece the more special, don’t ya think? So today I just want to highlight those items… if that’s okay with you!
For my mantel, I switched out the Eid pieces with fall themed items like pumpkins, corn, and acorns… some of which are displayed in containers from my most recent rummage sale finds which was actually the first rummage sale I’ve been to. Can you believe that? I don’t know what took me so long to get to one!
I found two of these yellow glass canisters which I knew would be perfect to add to my fall decor. Not just perfect for fall, but also the perfect nesting place for one of my little turquoise pumpkins left over from my fall wreath. I adore the color combination of the two!
Also, from the rummage sale I found three carafes that I wasn’t going to pass up. I knew they would come in handy, and here are two of them adding charm to my mantel! I filled one with pinecone and pumpkin fillers, whereas the other was filled with felted acorns. I fell in love with Homework’s faux felted acorns, so I made my own using teal and ivory yarn. I enlisted my little craft helper, Suraya. At first we both were fumbling all over the place, but after a couple acorns we got the hang of it. I think the carafes are a fun way to display our little acorns… or any small filler really.
The other fall decorations that I’ve used in my mantel are no strangers to my fall collection… amongst them is my no sew no glue pumpkin for which I shared the how to last fall.
Also, you may recognize the dry orange Chinese lanterns bouquet from last year’s Thanksgiving vignette. I have to admit they weren’t easy to store. Some of the lanterns did fall off but worry not, I made sure to make use out of those fallen pieces…
Those pieces went in another rummage sale find which is my favorite item of them all… This vintage green glass bowl which is stamped with the year 1975. Another perfect piece to add to my fall decor collection!
Here the bowl joins my Glitter Blasted gourds as part of my coffee table centerpiece along with my fall subway art.
My last of the bargains are both from a recent Michael’s visit. I went in for one thing but came out with this basket and pumpkin fillers instead. With 70% off, they were a guilt free purchase! The basket was too cute not to get, and at $1.50 it was much too cute not to get. At $1.80 for the fillers, it made it easy to decide what to add in the basket!
As for my rummage sale deals. Other than what I’ve shared with you today, I also found a few others items. Total spent: $6!
I love worthwhile bargains! I’m not a bargain magnet, and I wish I was. Bargains don’t find me like they do some people; I have to work to find them! But when I do find them it sure is awesome! Do you find bargains or do bargains tend to find you?
