Hot Chocolate Kit

With the winter season fast approaching, what tastier way to keep warm than with hot chocolate. I wanted to share the sweet warmth, so I put together a few hot chocolate kits to gift. Hot chocolate is a gift of warmth that you can never go wrong with… not with me at least!

Hot Chocolate Kit Using Garnish Supplies

With these simple supplies, I was able to put together fun and unique packaging for my kit.

Customized Tiny Prints Tags for Hot Chocolate Kit

Also, thanks to Tiny Prints, I was able to create cute tags that were the perfect finishing touch to my kit. Tiny Prints has a large selection of gift cards, gift tags, invitations, and other stationary that can be fully customized to suit your needs. I was so thrilled to find tags that were perfectly suiting for my kit. The simplistic design with the kraft color background and the white snowflake were exactly what I was looking for to team up with the simplistic elements in my kit. My favorite part of all was how easy it was to customize the wording with what I wanted it to say: Hot Chocolate Kit. Keep Warm and Enjoy!

DIY Hot Chocolate Kit

To create my kit, a few simple steps were needed. First, I painted the “soup” bowl lid with a couple of thin layers of chalk paint. The paint did dry fairly quick. While it was drying, I filled each plastic tube with marshmallows and crushed peppermint, stamped each spoon with stir, filled the bowls with cocoa, and with my Silhouette cut out labels out of red card stock as an extra embellishment for my tags. I tied one tube each of marshmallow and crushed peppermint together with red twine, and I added twine to the spoon as well. Lastly, I filled the carrier with shredded paper to give the containers height and garnished the cup side with two doilies.

By the time all the prepping was done, the lids were ready to give instructions and close off the cocoa filled bowls. Each item took it’s place in the carrier, and the kit was finished off with the tag which was secured by a little clothespin.

I love how you added the directions to the top of the cup. I think that would be the greatest gift ever and I might need to give them to my kids' teachers.
    Thanks!
